Join us for a captivating organ recital on Sunday, March 10 at Noon (following the 10:30 am church service) in the Nave. Recital will feature Dr. Joe Henry, St. Thomas the Apostle’s Music Director and Organist. Dr. Joseph W. (Joe) Henry, Director of Music Ministries, has spent his life as a teacher, a performer and as a church music director. He has taught at Grambling State University (Grambling, Louisiana), Louisiana Tech University (Ruston, LA), the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN), Concordia University (St. Paul, MN),) and Union County College (Cranford, NJ). He has served the church as a choir director, music director, organist and vocal soloist for over forty years at churches in Minnesota, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Louisiana, and Texas. Ash Wednesday Services Start your Lenten journey by joining us for our Ash Wednesday services on February 14 at Noon and 7:00 PM in the Nave with Eucharist, Blessing and Distribution of Ashes. This is a beautiful and symbolic way to mark the beginning of Lent with repentance, reflection, prayer, fasting, and ultimately celebration. ALL are WELCOME!

These conversational, online sessions will focus discussions around The Accommodation a compelling exploration of pivotal moments and figures that shaped the African American experience. It is a powerful, long-repressed classic of Dallas history which examines the violent and suppressed history of race and racism in the city in which many of us live. Vocal Recital & Presentation – Dr. Erica Vernice Simmons Sunday, Feb 11 at Noon Following the 10:30am Church Service in the Parish Hall Everyone is invited to the Parish Hall for light refreshments immediately following the service. Hear Dr. Erica Vernice Simmons, lyric soprano, perform and give an insightful perspective as a Black musician. Dr. Simmons is an Adjunct Professor of Voice and Lecturer at Tarrant County College Northeast Campus. She recently earned her doctoral degree from the University of North Texas. Most recently, Professor Simmons presented a Black Heritage Recital featuring classical compositions by black composers atthe Texoma Artist Series Conference for the National Associationof the Teachers of Singing (NATS). She has performed as asoloist in a virtual concert of His Light Still Shines and in the Porgy and Bess opera with Fort Worth Opera.
